Our Easter Brunch Tabletop

I’m thrilled to be sharing our Easter brunch tabletop at last. The best part is that this can be replicated and repeated throughout the spring!

In looking for my color palette, I stumbled upon these Ralph Lauren Home tablecloths at Home Goods featuring hydrangea blooms on a blue green background. I’ve been collecting cabbageware (like these and these) here and there and I knew I wanted to tie in those bright greens with our gold-rimmed china and crystal for Easter brunch. The tablecloth was the perfect backdrop. You can still find it at most Home Goods stores or on eBay here.

I loved using pink candlesticks on our table. They were probably my favorite last-minute addition. I found these on Amazon, but I’m not going to link them because they dripped everywhere – candlestick holders, tablecloths, you name it. Take my advice – and that of my friend Carol – and spring for Cire Trudon candles.

We incorporated our vintage set of silverware found in Roanoke (in this post) and a set of simple white linen napkins (similar here) to frame out each place setting. Gold chargers (similar – six for under $10.00) were a great complement to our china. I fell in love with the Imperial Eggs print from Caspari. They graced our bar and our half bath. Our palm leaf marble base napkin holder is Michael Aram and is one of my favorite unique pieces.

Since a traditional ham was our main protein, we looked at wines that were sweet, but not too sweet, and ended up serving some of our favorite whites by Duckhorn and Decoy. Not sponsored, but I have to mention it because these wines are fabulous and at a great price point. Also, we’re a week out from our trip to Napa and Duckhorn is on our list.

For the arrangements, I bought the fullest hydrangea blooms I could get my hands on in beautiful greens, pale pinks, and whites. I used green filler flowers between the blooms. As an accent, I folded Easter Lily greens in half and secured them with green floral tape.

We couldn’t celebrate without a few Easter lilies, of course. These accented our bar top.

We opted for potluck so that each of our guests could bring a family staple they grew up with or something seasonal and festive. It was quite the impressive spread. We started out with these two easy appetizers and finished with coconut cream pie two ways and hummingbird cake. The palmetto fronds added height and interest to our dessert table along with our new Waterford tray/cake plate that was a fabulous purchase from the Waterford sale (similar here).

Try serving up pimento cheese or these pink deviled eggs to add even more festivity to your next spring dinner party!
