A Fabulous Hack to that Ever-Famous Coffeehouse Drink

I am the worst when it comes to getting sick – especially during the holidays. I just want to curl up in a blanket and turn on Hallmark. It’s so hard to focus on rest when you’re thinking about the greenery that needs to be hung, cards that need writing, and everything in between. I’ve been keeping our local Starbucks open these last few weeks ordering steamy drink after steamy drink. I thought I’d share one of my favorite recent discoveries – a hot tea that includes fabulous things like lemon, peach tea, mint, and honey.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Hot water

Lemon (you can use fresh or concentrated lemon juice – because when you’re sick, it’s just as good)

Mint teabag*

Peach/citrus teabag*

Honey

*I used the two Teavana teas below:

Here’s what to do:

Pour in hot water and about two tablespoons of lemon juice (to taste).

Add in a squeeze or two of honey.

Then, add the two teabags. Steep for the regular amount of time.

Wrap up in a cashmere throw, shearling slippers, and cozy up next to the tree – you’re ready for cold season!
