April is National Card and Letter Writing Month, and what a time for it in this day of social distancing! There are few things more wonderful than a handwritten card from a loved one in the mail.

Whether you’re thanking a friend for a sweet gesture or penning a “thinking of you” note to your grandparents, you’ll need a steady supply of letter writing goods.

Be sure and read this related post on how to build your own stationery wardrobe.

First, you’ll need the right pens. I love Le Pens, but my ultimate go-to is a fine point Sharpie. Find something that works for you, above all.

Now for the fun part…the stationery! I adore a good stationery suite and highly recommend having a personalized one. Now is the time to invest, friends! I did a whole post on how to build one a few months ago.

For today’s post, however, I’m sharing a few of my favorite boxed stationery sets…and there are some beautiful ones out there.

Crane & Co.

I just love this tortoise and hare engraved set from Crane & Co. Other favorites of mine include this Florentine set and their classic hydrangea complete with pretty blue and white stripes.

Dempsey & Carroll

Dempsey & Carroll’s envelope liners are truly something special. I adore the ones above in Schumacher’s classic Chiang Mai Dragon print. Their destination cards are also favorites of mine. I have a set of vintage style European hotel ones that I’m hoping they make once again!

Felix Doolittle

I’ve long been a fan of Felix Doolittle’s return address labels. Naturally, their selection of notecards is equally as beautiful. Their designs are wonderful – like a picturesque retreat of the simplest but most gorgeous things, from the ingredients in a cake to looking out upon a meadow. I especially love this golf scene.

Smythson

Smythson’s delicate tissue-lined envelopes are a sure sign to the recipient that something special lies inside, like these festive spaniels or a card with this lovely pink boucles border.

Haute Papier

Haute Papier carries some of the most fun prints, but I’m especially keen on their gorgeous botanical prints, like this one.

Caspari

Caspari’s fabulous cocktail napkin and salad plate designs bring your correspondence to life. My personal favorite? This style pictured above.

Katie Kime

Whimsical and fun, with bright colors to boot. That’s how I’d describe Katie Kime’s notecards, like these tassels.

Happy writing, friends!
