Your book club’s holiday party is one week away and you have no idea what to bring and no time to make anything. Friends, I am here with your answer.

Enter these little nuggets. They are made from four ingredients and take less than a minute each to make. The end result? The most perfect winter bites.

I made these for our office potluck during a week when I had zero time but wanted to bring something homemade – well, semi. They were a hit.

These would also be wonderful in a little cellophane bag tied with a festive ribbon and tucked into a gift basket for your neighbors or party host or hostess. Or, simply serve them on a silver platter or in a crystal dish to dress them up a bit at your next holiday gathering.

You can find our neighbor gifts from last year here.

What you’ll need:

Hershey kisses

Butterscotch chips (for baking)

Mini vanilla wafers (make sure they’re mini)

Chocolate frosting (save yourself the trouble and buy it pre-made – no one’s judging here)

How to assemble:

Your chocolate frosting works as the adhesive – and it doesn’t take much. Put a dollop onto a Hershey kiss, then adhere one of your mini vanilla wafers to it.

Let them sit for a minute or two so they have a chance to really take hold.

Then, use a smaller dollop of frosting to adhere the butterscotch chip to the top of the wafer. My friends, you are done.

If you really want to be Type A about it, you can melt some of the butterscotch chips in the microwave (just be sure to stir every 15 seconds so they don’t burn) with a touch of canola oil and use that to adhere the butterscotch chip to the top. As I mentioned, it was a busy week, so pink frosting was the best I could muster from our pantry for this batch.

Dress up your disposable pan with carefully arranged cocktail napkins. I used a few of my favorite Caspari ones (zebra ones are here and gold ones are here) to line the aluminum pan that I brought them on for our office party.
