A Little Sweet and So Simple

We served this punch at our Halloween party this year and it was a HUGE hit. It’s so simple and looks gorgeous, so I had to share it with you all. It’s perfect for upcoming Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, and harvest entertaining.

Here’s what you’ll need for the base:

12 oz cream soda (I used Jones soda)

1/2 gallon cold apple cider

1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice

Pinch of nutmeg

5 cinnamon sticks

5-6 apples for garnish

Pulling it all together:

Start by adding the cold apple cider to your punch bowl (I love the way this one looks). Next, add your cream soda, tilting it slightly as your pour (as you would a beer or soda from a bottle) to keep the fizz going strong. Stir in the pumpkin pie spice and a pinch of nutmeg.

We wanted to make this a fab punch for our friends who drank and for those who weren’t imbibing at the time, so we served it up with alcohol to add in on the side. We had spiced rum, regular rum, bourbon, and Calvados apple brandy that our guests could add to the punch themselves. It worked perfectly and the punch was a home run!

Top off your punch with cinnamon sticks and 5-6 apples for garnish – orchard apples are the best, especially if you can find some that are different sizes. We found some smaller Fuji apples at Hartland Orchards that we added to ours in addition to slices of apples (Granny Smith and other varieties).
